Cinema association of Macedonia has perform their activities in cinema clubs community sections, independent author groups and individuals.

Today, in are 19 clubs (Cinema, photo-cinema, photo-cinema and video), five independent authors groups, and twenty independent authors.

From the year 1956 in the first amateur film is done until year 2000, 1166 non-professional films are done in Macedonia (documentary, short film, experimental film and animation). Work in organized clubs associations and section is performed through year's seminars and courses for learning of various knowledge about films etc. Cinema association of Macedonia with the aim of developing the film amateur production in the year 1984 has established traditional " Summer film school" in which behind theoretical education also practical realization of films is done.

In the cinema association there are four film amateur with the title "Master of amateur film".

Exhibitions and festivals
From establishment from year 1950 until today, Cinema association of Macedonia for popularization of amateur film production. For example in sixties years of twentieth century, the international festival of amateur film "Meeting of solidarity" was performed (cooperation with cinema club "Camera 300") in Skopje.

In seventies and eighties years Academic cinema club from Skopje has realized the main Yugoslav student festival with international member ship. House of youth from Skopje in seventies year has realized Yugoslav festival of amateur animation and cartoon film etc.

Traditional exhibition of the cinema association of Macedonia is state festival of amateur film, which is first issue was done in the year 1964 and until today there are performed 31 festivals.

In the year 1993 in Bitola is established the International festival of amateur documentaristic film "Camera 300" in organization of cinema and video club "Studio Milton Manaki" from Bitola in organization of house of technical culture of Bitola and cinema association of Macedonia.

International membership
From the year 1996, Cinema association of Macedonia is valid member of International

Union of amateur film (UNIKA) with residence in Holland and trough this organization is member of International Center for film for children and youth from UNESKO with residence in Paris.
